A Tradition Built on Care: The Woodmont Christmas Baskets
Every family has its own Christmas traditions.
Some gather around the kitchen making cookies. Some sip hot cocoa and drive around looking at Christmas lights. Others volunteer together, sing carols, or return to the same beloved rituals year after year. Traditions are what give the season its texture; they tell a story about what matters most.
At Woodmont Cabinetry, one of the most meaningful Christmas traditions doesn’t happen at home. It happens on the factory floor.

Each year, Woodmont’s conveyor belts—normally used to move cabinetry through production—are transformed into something entirely different: an assembly line of generosity. The same belts that carry craftsmanship and hard work throughout the year are repurposed to carry wooden Christmas baskets, one after another, filled with groceries and care for the people who make Woodmont what it is.
Christmas baskets are hand-assembled and distributed to every employee across the company and for select vendors and members of the surrounding community. They’re filled with practical, family-friendly staples meant to be enjoyed throughout the holiday season: canned vegetables, boxed pastas, macaroni and cheese, cookies, and other treats. Nothing flashy. Everything thoughtful. The kind of items that quietly support a household during a busy and often expensive time of year.
What makes the tradition even more special is how many hands are involved. Employees from across departments come together to pack the baskets. Some bring their children, inviting them into the experience and showing them what service, generosity, and teamwork look like in action. It becomes more than a task, but rather a shared moment passed from one generation to the next.

By the end of the day, the scale of the effort is striking. Baskets by the hundreds fill the floor of a semi-truck. From there, they are distributed to employees and delivered to vendors and community members, extending the spirit of the season well beyond Woodmont’s walls.
As employees head home, the tradition reaches its final and perhaps most personal moment. A committee stands outside, ready to load each basket into vehicles. There are smiles, waves, and heartfelt Christmas wishes shared as families pull away to celebrate the holiday season.
This tradition is not new. It’s long-standing. And like the best traditions, it has endured because it reflects something essential about the culture of Woodmont Cabinetry.
In a season filled with many ways to celebrate, the Christmas baskets are a tangible way of honoring people, faith, and community. They are a reminder that work is about more than production schedules and deadlines—it’s about caring for one another, serving with intention, and recognizing that generosity is most meaningful when it is lived.
Just like any cherished Christmas tradition, this one is woven into the fabric of the company. And year after year, as the baskets move down our conveyor belts, they carry the heart of Woodmont Cabinetry into the season.
