Where Business Meets Belief

THE WOODMONT STORY.

From Regional Roots to a National Name

1953: Humble Beginnings in Texas
Our story starts in Grand Prairie, Texas, where a small regional company called Western Cabinets supplied quality stock cabinetry to homebuilders across the Southwest. With a reputation for hard work, fairness, and craftsmanship, Western Cabinets became a trusted name in its corner of the world.

2016: Powered by People and Places
Today, we operate out of two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Texas: a 150,000 sq. ft. plant in Dallas and a 100,000 sq. ft. site in Cedar Hill. In 2016, we welcomed Grandview Products in Cherryvale, Kansas, into our family, expanding our reach with an additional 220,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and a proud Midwestern workforce.

1992: A New Chapter Begins
In 1992, Stan Tidwell, a cabinet industry veteran with a background in custom millwork, acquired the business. Under his leadership, the company underwent a transformation. With fresh energy and a clear vision, Stan expanded operations, introduced new product lines, and brought Western Cabinets into a new era.

2025: Rooted in Values, Built to Last
From day one, our philosophy has been simple: treat people right and deliver a quality product at a fair value. That belief shapes every part of our business—from how we craft each cabinet to how we care for our employees, partners, and customers.

2004: A New Name, A Broader Reach
As the company grew, so did its identity. Western Cabinets became Woodmont Cabinetry, a name that reflected both our natural evolution and our forward momentum. What began as a regional supplier became a national manufacturer with customers from coast to coast.

2028: Design Forward, Future Focused
Today, Woodmont Cabinetry is proud to serve large-scale builders and distribution partners who share our values and vision. We focus on delivering style-driven cabinetry while respecting our commitments to environmental responsibility and a people-first culture. Because to us, progress means more than growth—it means doing things the right way, every step of the way.

INTEGRITY INGRAINED

The Tidwell Family Legacy

Built by Hand. Led with Heart.
Stan Tidwell’s story begins not in a boardroom—but in a workshop. At 17, he entered a ten-year apprenticeship in custom cabinetry and millwork, honing his craft through long days, sawdust, and skill. In 1982, he launched Texas Doors, manufacturing precision cabinet doors for custom builders across the Southwest. That business gave him his first taste of entrepreneurship and the satisfaction of building something from the ground up.

His biggest leap came in 1992, when he acquired Western Cabinets, a small Texas-based cabinet manufacturer. What followed was a transformation. Stan grew the business, renamed it Woodmont Cabinetry, and expanded from two door styles and two colors to a national brand known for quality, sustainability, and integrity.

A Mission Bigger Than Business
For Stan, this company has always been about more than just cabinets. It’s about people. Faith plays a guiding role in his leadership, and he sees Woodmont as more than a company—it’s a calling. He has built a workplace rooted in biblical principles that honors people, builds community, and delivers lasting value. Employees are treated like family, customers are treated with care, and the business is used as a way to give back to the community.

That same sense of stewardship led Stan to take ownership of Grandview Cabinetry in 2018, ensuring the future of a fellow family-owned business and protecting hundreds of local jobs in Parsons, Kansas. The move was personal—Stan was a longtime friend of the Zetmeir family—and it reflected his deep belief in doing right by people and preserving legacy.

A Family Legacy
Stan’s devotion to family runs just as deep as his commitment to business. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandi, and together they raised three daughters. Today, those daughters sit on Woodmont Cabinetry’s board of directors, actively helping to shape the company’s future.

The next generation is already stepping in: Seth Moran, one of Stan’s nine grandchildren, now works at Woodmont, carrying on the family tradition with pride. Stan’s grandkids have always been part of the journey—he used to take them on summer road trips across the country, sharing life lessons, visiting vendors, and teaching them what it means to lead with integrity. These weren’t just vacations—they were bonding adventures and leadership incubators.

A Life Well Crafted
Whether mentoring employees, climbing a mountain with co-workers (literally), herding cattle on his ranch, or harvesting honey from his own beehives, Stan Tidwell lives what he believes: that work is a gift, and that business can be a force for good. He’s never lost sight of what matters most: faith, family, doing things right, and doing the right thing. His values are reflected in every cabinet, every relationship, and every decision made at Woodmont Cabinetry. Stan’s legacy isn’t just built into the cabinets his company’s produce—it lives in every person whose life he’s touched.
