As Marina will tell you, most jobs take time and dedication to learn how to do well: “Most jobs aren’t easy at first, but look at me! If you’re willing to learn how everything is done, it will get easier over time. And you might just learn that you love it.” For over two decades now, Marina has brought this positive, can-do attitude to the shipping department at Woodmont Cabinetry where she serves as a shipping lead. When a product leaves Woodmont’s warehouse, Marina is there to make sure it goes out on time and in perfect condition. She’s also a supportive team leader, providing all the necessary support and resources her colleagues need in order to do their job well.
Marina credits Woodmont’s strong culture for her long tenure with the company: “I’ve stayed all these years because I feel comfortable here, especially knowing that we are all part of one Woodmont family.” Events like Woodmont’s 20-Year baseball game and employee lunches are some of her favorite moments of fellowship with her team. Of course, the other secret to her position, she says, is simply her passion for the job: “It’s the best feeling in the world, going to work every day knowing that you love what you do.”
Fun fact: Marina is a queen of karaoke and often sings at home for her whole family: her husband, 4 children, and 4 grandchildren.
