Summertime Service: Woodmont Sponsors Summer Camp for Kids

Summertime for kids means saying ‘goodbye’ to the school bell and ‘hello’ to red popsicle stained-fingers, trips to the pool, and summer camp. Here in Midlothian, Texas, we’ve grown up with Vacation Bible School for generations. As adults, we look back fondly on our memories of those special summer days devoted to service of others and celebration of our faith. As parents, we’re happy to see our children follow in the same tradition of summer fun, connection, and service. For this reason, Woodmont Cabinetry proudly sponsored Serve Week.

The youth of Creekwood Church took a week out of their busy summer to volunteer as mentors and guides to children attending a summer camp hosted by Freedom Community Church. Throughout the week, they modeled Christian principles and influenced the younger children as they lead by example. Summer camp attendees participated in lessons, activities and crafts inspired by Biblical stories while building relationships together in Christ. They also learned about teamwork and good sportsmanship with games and sports. Woodmont Cabinetry extended its support by donating craft supplies and snacks and helping to shape the curriculum.

Serve Week will always hold a special place in the hearts of the Tidwell family, as our children have been actively involved as helpers and servants at Creekwood and Serve Week for many years. We’ve seen them grow and flourish during Serve Week, and we’re happy to be a part of such an enriching community program.
