Esperanza Robles
When Esperanza started working at Woodmont Cabinetry, she thought it would be a temporary job. But more than two decades later, she’s still here, giving it her all every day. Esperanza credits the company culture which encourages employees to learn new skills on the job and grow in their positions. “I really enjoyed moving to different areas of the company and moving up over time”, she says. In the early years, she sanded doors, ran parts, and put together panels. For the past twelve years, Esperanza has worked as a door assembler. “We handle lots of custom orders, so the work requires focus and attention to detail to get everything just right for the customers.”
A team player, Esperanza says: “I love working, and being surrounded by my co-workers. I really enjoy the company-sponsored events and the times when the management team brings in food for us. It’s so nice to spend time in fellowship with co-workers.” Now, she gives sage advice to new and prospective Woodmont employees: “If you are looking for a place to grow, they will let you grow and learn here. All you have to do is ask.”
Fun fact: Esperanza is a single mother. And with the help of Woodmont’s scholarship program, all three of her daughters went to college. Two of them have become teachers!
