Customer Spotlight: Parrish & Company
In 1972, Parrish & Company opened as a fireplace distributor in San Antonio. The company prospered, adding other products such as cabinets, countertops, appliances, garage doors, lighting, and barbecue grills over the years. Owners Dan and Susan Parrish also expanded Parrish & Company to Austin and La Feria, anchoring the couple as important partners to the residential homebuilding and remodeling industries in Texas.
Dan and Susan have grown their business through hard work, determination, unrivaled customer service, loyal employees, and, of course, great customers! They became a Woodmont Cabinetry Distributor four years ago, and have grown significantly year over year since joining the Woodmont Cabinetry family.
Honored as a Lifetime Spike in the National Homebuilder’s Association, Dan has held a position on the Board of Directors for six years and chaired The Affordable Housing Parade of Homes. Dan is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
A University of Texas alumnae, Susan, currently serves as CFO for Parrish & Company and has been an integral part of the company’s development since the doors opened in 1972.
Parrish & Company is truly a family business. After graduating from The University of Texas San Antonio, Dan and Susan’s son, Brette, gained extensive knowledge of the residential homebuilding industry working for a national builder as a Construction Manager. Two years later, in December 2002, he joined the sales division of Parrish & Company. His hard work and dedication have earned him numerous accolades including: 2003 Newcomer of the Year, 2004 and 2005 Salesperson of the Year, and a record-setting Seven Million Dollar Sales award in 2005. In December, 2008, Brette was promoted to Vice President of Sales, where he uses his exceptional management and sales skills to support the Parrish team.
With a Texas A&M marketing degree in hand, Kelly Parrish Walker (Dan and Susan’s daughter), joined Parrish & Company in August 2002. She started at Round Rock location, working in every area from door-to-door marketing to website and advertising development. Kelly is actively involved with the Austin Homebuilder’s Association, serving as the Women’s Council Membership 2005 Vice President, as a Parade of Homes Volunteer Coordinator and on the MAX Awards Committee. In May, 2006, she moved with her family to San Antonio, where she serves as Vice President of Marketing for all Parrish & Company locations.
With more than 250 years of combined service, the Parrish “family” extends beyond the Parrish siblings to include exceptional managers and employees who are the driving force behind Parrish & Company’s success.
