Once again, Woodmont Cabinetry’s efforts toward environmental stewardship have been recognized by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer Association (KCMA). We are proud to announce that our Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) certification has been renewed. The KCMA ESP program, which promotes environmental responsibility and sustainability among cabinet manufacturers of kitchen and bath cabinets, is acknowledged industry-wide by government agencies, architects, builders, remodelers, and, of course, other cabinetry manufacturers. To earn ESP certification, a company must meet high expectations in five categories: air quality, product resource management, process resource management, environmental stewardship, and community relations.
Although it is an honor, the distinction doesn’t come as a surprise; Woodmont Cabinetry has been setting the standard in environmentally friendly practices for years. Working (and living) “green” is an essential part of our core belief that respecting the Earth is the duty of every citizen and company. Indeed, every bit of eco-awareness counts: we source wood from sustainable forestry programs, recycle wood waste to be used in other products, and reuse solvents to clean our factories and equipment. You can read more about our sustainability practices here.
Given the ESP certification’s rigorous standards, Woodmont Cabinetry’s manufacturing process is therefore, once again, guaranteed to follow the cleanest industry practices. In addition to recognizing stellar sustainability standards, the KCMA also acknowledges companies which finish their products domestically, using low emission stains and varnishes. Woodmont’s products are 100% manufactured, assembled, and finished in the United States by dedicated professionals, another fact customers should be aware of when they see the KCMA and ESP logos next to our quality products.
